Zoë Brammer is the Senior Analyst for Cyber and Information Operations at the Institute for Security and Technology. Her portfolio includes research on digital systems and democracy, the future of digital security, ransomware, cryptocurrency, and Web3. She explores the underlying infrastructure of the Internet, its impact on human cognition, its evolution into Web3, and the resulting implications for human and cyber security. She is the primary researcher for IST’s Ransomware Task Force.

Zoë holds BAs in International Relations and Economics from Clark University, and completed the general course at the London School of Economics. She has presented her research at the United Nations OWEG, the Duke University Cybersecurity Leadership Program, and RSA, among others, and has had her work published in Tech Policy Press, “Security and Society in the Information Age”, Inkstick Media, and the NatSpecs Blog.
